In an inspiring blend of art and environmental stewardship, the WWF and Artwise teamed up for “Art For Your Oceans,” showcasing the world’s first sustainable, fully biodegradable ink made from regeneratively farmed seaweed. This groundbreaking ink was used by 16 artists to create ocean-inspired works that capture the spirit and depth of marine life. Seaweed farming itself is a win for the planet: it serves as a powerful carbon sink, supports biodiversity, and can be processed into eco-friendly products like bioplastics, animal feed, and fertilizer. The artworks debuted at Sotheby’s in London this summer, with proceeds funding additional ocean conservation projects. Our oceans are vital for marine ecosystems, human livelihoods, and the fight against climate change, making this fusion of creativity and sustainability a powerful force for good.
