At just 3 years old, Caitlyn Mellor is set to become one of the youngest competitors ever at the world-famous Crufts dog show. Alongside her Miniature Schnauzer, Zeeva, Caitlyn qualified after a standout performance at the Three Counties Championship. The toddler’s love for dogs runs deep—her first word was “doggy,” and she’s been attending dog shows since she was 8 weeks old. Now competing solo against adults decades her senior, Caitlyn exudes joy and confidence in the ring, calling shows “doggy clap” for all the applause she gets. With her mom’s support and Zeeva by her side—often sleeping in Caitlyn’s bed—the pint-sized pair are winning hearts and proving that passion, not age, makes a true competitor.
