In a small northern Italian town, 101-year-old barista Anna Possi has been brewing espresso and serving coffee daily for more than 80 years— making her Italy’s oldest barista. She works at the same café she and her husband opened in 1958, starting each day at 7 a.m. and often staying until 7 p.m., even now at her age. Her longevity and dedication reflect not just hard work but a deep love for interacting with people— many of her regular customers are long-time locals who stop by not only for coffee but to chat with her. She credits staying active, staying social, and doing work she enjoys as keys to her long life. Anna Possi’s story is an uplifting reminder that passion, community, and purpose can make a big difference in one’s life—even past 100.
