When Joy Ryan confessed to her grandson Brad that she regretted not traveling more in her life, the duo set out on a mission to visit all 63 national parks in the United States. Seven and a half years later, the pair’s journey concluded after they visited the last stop on the tour— the National Park of American Samoa. 93-year-old Joy is the oldest living person to visit all national parks in the US, and 41-year-old Brad is honored to have shared the experience with his grandmother. Brad utilized GoFundMe to raise money for their various trips, and said they faced financial and logistical challenges over the years. Against all odds, Joy and Brad fulfilled their dream and grew closer than ever along the way.
