Dolly’s Imagination Library

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library launched a plan to provide free books to every child in the state of Montana. The Imagination Library donates books to kids five and under regardless of family income in an effort to promote early reading habits and spark a love of literature. Any child in Montana can register with the library and will receive a new, free book each month. Dolly Parton teamed up with Montana First Lady Susan Gianforte to launch the state-wide initiative. The Imagination Library was inspired by Parton’s father’s inability to read and write, and has provided over 206 million books around the world so far. The country icon is looking to expand the organization to all corners of the globe to boost childhood literacy rates and spread the joy of reading.
