Tommy Pasquale wanted to go on an epic adventure to raise money for veterans experiencing homelessness, and decided to walk all the way from New Jersey to California. Along the way, the 25-year-old met many homeless veterans to hear their stories and learn how to best support them. He walked between 20 and 30 miles a day for 143 days, braving tough terrain and weather conditions. 3,000 miles and 10 pairs of shoes later, Pasquale completed his trek when he arrived in Venice Beach to celebrate with friends and family. Pasquale raised about $100,000 for the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans and plans to continue his advocacy work on the important issue.
