Pilot Family Flies Together

Captain Holly Petitt and her daughter, First Officer Keely Petitt, recently piloted Southwest flight 3658 together. The journey from Denver to St. Louis marks the first time a mother-daughter duo has flown a Southwest plane. A love for flying runs in the Petitt family, and Keely has known from age 14 that she wanted to follow in her mother’s footsteps to become a pilot. After training for several years, Keely finally had the opportunity to join her mother in the cockpit. Captain Holly was thrilled to have her daughter by her side and later posted on Facebook, “One moment you are holding this tiny little premature baby in your arms and in a blink of an eye she is sitting next to you on the flight deck of a Boeing 737 jet!”
