Refill shops are the newest trend in sustainable shopping. These zero-waste shops allow customers to bring their own reusable containers to refill on the goods that they need. Instead of buying a new milk carton everytime you shop for groceries, you could bring the same carton and simply refill it at the store. In the UK, refill shops are growing in popularity in an attempt to combat plastic pollution and climate change. Now, major UK supermarkets are starting to implement the refill concept. Shoppers will be able to bring glass jars to sustainably shop everything from spices, to pasta, to cleaning products. Fingers crossed that grocers in the US hop on this eco-friendly trend soon!
