In memory of beloved TV presenter Jill Dando, schools across the UK have launched a unique initiative that trains children aged 8 to 18 as good news reporters, with a goal to have one million young “reporters of hope” by 2030. These young journalists learn real-world reporting from seasoned professionals and unearth uplifting stories that bring hope and positivity into the world. The program empowers students to conduct high-profile interviews and contribute their work to reputable publications. The growing program continues to prove that young people can spark inspiration around the world by spreading kindness through storytelling, and honors Dando’s legacy in the process.
