World’s Happiest Countries

The latest World Happiness Report has been published, which ranks countries based on various happiness markers. The report relies on data from the Gallup World Poll as well as surveys that ask people about their values and how they score their lives as a whole. The World Happiness Report also details variables like a country's GDP, social support, life expectancy, freedom, generosity, and corruption. For the seventh year in a row, Finland has come in at the number one spot, making it the world’s happiest country. Other Nordic countries followed, with Denmark in second place, Iceland in third, and Sweden in fourth. The United States landed the 23rd spot, which is lower than in previous reports.
