Sewing Gowns for Cancer Patients

11-year-old Giuliana Demma has taken up a new hobby to help kids fighting cancer. When Giuliana’s cousin Giada was diagnosed with cancer several years ago, her Disney-themed hospital gown always brought a smile to her face. Guiliana wants to help kids experience joy and feel loved as they face a scary diagnosis, which is why she started G’s Giving Gowns. Demma’s unique, colorful gowns are donated to kids so they don’t have to wear the dull options that hospitals provide. Her gowns are full of bright colors, patches, animals, and popular characters. The New Jersey native has sent over 150 gowns to hospitals across the country since she started the project last year and takes requests on her website.
