Paul McCartney’s Guitar Found

The Beatles star Paul McCartney was devastated when his electric Hofner bass guitar was stolen in West London back in 1969, and the musician figured he would never see the prized possession again. McCartney used the guitar to record The Beatles’ first two albums, which included hits like “All My Loving” and “She Loves You”. The Lost Bass Project issued a public appeal last year in a last ditch effort to track down the historic instrument, and surprisingly received a reply. An anonymous person living on the southern coast of England found the guitar and its original case in the attic of their house and contacted McCartney’s team to return it. Over 50 years after it was stolen, McCartney is now working on restoring the guitar to get it back in working condition.
