Music promoters who were behind the iconic Live Aid concert in 1985 are launching a new charitable festival, this time targeting climate change. Earth Aid Live will take place in six countries over a weekend in August 2025, with additional events in the works for 2030 and 2035. The multi-year project aims to unite music lovers to protect the planet through individual action, community engagement, and corporate and governmental participation. Earth Aid Live will be the largest entertainment-based effort to raise awareness and funds that will help end the climate crisis. While little has been announced about the lineup of performers and schedule, the 2025 slate will include London, Los Angeles, and Rio de Janeiro, among other cities.
