New Therapy to Make Cells Younger

Scientists have taken a major step forward in the field of regenerative medicine by giving the first person an experimental treatment designed to help aging cells function more like younger, healthier ones. The therapy works by resetting some of the biological instructions inside cells that become disrupted over time, allowing them to potentially repair themselves and work more effectively. The first patient received the treatment as part of a clinical trial focused on eye diseases that can lead to vision loss, with researchers hoping it can help restore damaged cells in the eye and improve vision. While the treatment is still in the early stages of testing and much more research is needed, the trial marks an important milestone in the effort to develop new therapies that could one day help treat age-related diseases and improve the body's ability to heal itself.
