Mom Starts Inclusive Night Club

Crisann Black was inspired to open a space where people with disabilities can be themselves without having to explain their behavior or be judged by others. Club Zeus is a once-a-month dance party for young adults aged 18+ to have fun, socialize, and meet other young people with disabilities. Nightlife spaces for those with disabilities are few and far between, and Black wanted Club Zeus to be an inclusive and safe space for all. People come in glamorous makeup and costumes to express themselves and build confidence in social settings. Black named Club Zeus after her 4-year-old son who has autism, and she hopes that it will inspire others to create spaces for people with disabilities to thrive.
