Mental Health Awareness Month

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. There are a lot of tips and tricks to help prioritize your mental health this month and always. Practicing gratitude can help ground us and remind us of the positive things going on, despite how low we may feel. Showing acts of kindness to others can help us feel better in return. Exercising, eating healthy, and maintaining good sleep habits are all correlated with better mental health. If your mental health feels like too much for you to handle alone, don’t be afraid to seek help. Mental health professionals are there to guide us back to our best selves and can be a great resource. Here are some options for affordable mental health care, since traditional therapy is unfortunately out of budget for many. Be kind to yourself, take a deep breath, and treat yourself to some self-care— you deserve it!
