Students at West Side Elementary in Healdsburg, California, are helping people around the country with their free advice hotline called Peptoc. With the help of a few teachers, students recorded messages that help inspire others and bring a burst of joy to their day. Callers can reach Peptoc at 707-998-8410. By hitting 1, callers get advice for when they are feeling sad or frustrated. On line 2, callers get life encouragement and advice. Clicking 3 is for those in need of a pep talk from kindergartners, and 4 is where they’ll hear the joyous sound of kids laughing. All Peptoc messages are available in English and Spanish. Students share kind words such as, “Be grateful for yourself” and “You’re looking great”. Teachers at West Side say the kids’ compliments are a testament to their ability to remain positive through life’s challenges and get to the root of what matters in life.
