Dancing for Mental Health

A new study has found that dancing can be beneficial in regulating emotions and promoting positive mental health. The study examined how dancing affects the experience of happiness and found that dancing elevates one’s mood and creates feelings of happiness, empowerment, pride, and determination. This research validates the efficacy of DMT (dance movement therapy) and gives us another reason to go out dancing this weekend. If you’re feeling low, consider trying a dance class or even having a solo dance party in your bedroom for instant mood-boosting effects!
