When Elizabeth Christensen and Joshua Colbert matched on the dating app Hinge last April, the pair quickly realized that they shared a lot of similarities. Both grew up in the same town of Andover, Minnesota and were even in the same kindergarten class at Northside Christian School, but neither remembered one another. As they continued to get to know each other, the couple discovered that they were both born at Mercy Hospital on the same day— September 13, 1988. Despite being born in the same hospital mere hours apart and spending the bulk of their lives in close proximity, Christensen and Colbert never crossed paths. The two, who were both recently divorced when they matched on Hinge, began dating and were engaged only a month later. The lovebirds tied the knot on their shared 35th birthday, September 13, 2023, in Minnesota. The special guest of the wedding was Christensen and Colbert’s kindergarten teacher, Ms. Korynta, who they tracked down and invited to join their special day.Â
