Army Dog Comes Home

Last year, Sergeant Kelsey and his Army unit spotted a friendly dog looking around their base in Kosovo for food. Sgt. Kelsey immediately bonded with the pup, who he named Duke. Duke visited the base daily and provided the unit with much-needed emotional support. With the help of the organization Paws of War, Sgt. Kelsey was planning on bringing Duke bake to the US with him when suddenly, Duke went missing. The unit searched the area for days, eventually finding him. Duke had been shot and was severely dehydrated. Paws of War sent an emergency vet team to save Duke, and he has been in recovery for the past six months. Now that he is fully healed, Duke is reuniting with his forever dad state-side this month.
