Darwin Notebooks Returned

In January 2001, the University of Cambridge realized that a valuable set of Charles Darwin’s notebooks had gone missing from their archives. One of the two missing notebooks contained Darwin’s famous “Tree of Life” drawing. To the university’s surprise, the two notebooks were recently found outside the librarian’s office inside a gift bag. A note inside the bag read, “Librarian, Happy Easter X”. The mysterious return of Darwin’s notebooks has left Cambridge staff both relieved and confused. Though police are investigating the bizarre disappearance and return, history buffs around the world are simply glad that the precious cargo has returned to its rightful home.
