In a historic milestone for Trinidad and Tobago, three women now simultaneously hold the nation's highest constitutional offices—a first in the country's history. Kamla Persad-Bissessar has returned as Prime Minister following a decisive electoral victory, marking her second term after previously serving from 2010 to 2015. Christine Kangaloo continues her role as President, having been the first woman elected to the position in 2023. Additionally, Pennelope Beckles has made history as the first female Opposition Leader of the People's National Movement (PNM), a role traditionally held by men. This unprecedented leadership trio signifies a transformative moment in the nation's political landscape, reflecting the growing influence and representation of women in Caribbean governance.
