5-year-old Jack Gyde was diagnosed with stage 4 Neuroblastoma, a rare brain cancer, earlier this year. To help raise money to cover the cost of his treatments, musician Daz Sims wrote, recorded, and released a song called “Cowboy Jack”. The single debuted at #28 on the iTunes chart, rising above big names like Coldplay, Kylie Minogue, and Beyonce. Money raised from downloading the song will go towards his chemotherapy, radiation, and stem cell transplant, as well as maintenance treatment to reduce the risk of relapse. Jack’s care team at a healthcare facility in the UK organized an online fundraiser to correspond with the song in an effort to bring in more funds, which has raised over $190,000 so far.
