When the Keighron family went to answer the door to collect the Domino’s pizza they had ordered earlier this month, they saw their 72-year-old delivery driver take a hard fall on the porch. The driver, Barbara Gillespie, was more concerned about the food she dropped than her own wellbeing. The Keighron family was surprised to see an elderly woman delivering pizzas and wanted to do something to help. They set up a fundraiser on Facebook that ended up going viral and raised $262,000 for Gillespie, who was named Team Member of the Year in 2022 at her Domino’s location. Gillespie officially retired from Domino’s thanks to the fundraiser, and plans to use part of the money to take a much-needed vacation.
