In Brussels, the non-profit Papy Booom has been transforming nightlife by inviting residents from retirement homes—many in their 80s and 90s—to dance the night away at Mirano nightclub. Dressed up and accompanied by a DJ playing vibrant beats, a spirited group stayed laughter-filled and active well past midnight—one 99-year-old former carpenter even sweated it out dancing until 2 a.m. For these seniors, the experience was a reminder that joy, connection, and living life to the fullest don’t have an expiration date. The initiative beautifully tackles loneliness and social isolation by giving older adults thrilling, memorable experiences—showing that happiness truly has no age limit.
