Earlier this month, animal services officer Brandon Levin responded to a call about a stray dog in Stockton, California. When the dog was scanned for a microchip, it was discovered that her name is Zoey and she had been flagged as missing since 2010. Zoey had been missing for so long that the microchip listed her as dead, but Zoey was alive, well, and ready for a reunion with her owner. Michelle, Zoey’s owner, rescued her from a pound when she was just a puppy. About six months later, Zoey went missing while Michelle was out shopping. Thankfully, the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office reunited the duo, who are so happy to be together again.
