Mic Whitty once enjoyed a stable life with a good job and a home, but mental health struggles and a gambling addiction slowly took everything away. After losing his house and security, he spent more than a decade homeless. His turning point came when he rediscovered his grandfather’s wartime diary, which reawakened a sense of purpose and connection. Since then, Whitty has set out on an extraordinary mission to cycle across Australia, visiting every Commonwealth War Grave cemetery in the country. Traveling on a yellow postal bike, he sleeps in hammocks under the stars and shares his reflections online, using his journey to inspire others facing hardship while honoring history and sacrifice. His goal is to complete the project by 2045—marking 30 years of visiting war graves, and a remarkable personal transformation along the way.
