Transplant Recipient Gives Back

Prince Wise, a 9-year-old heart transplant recipient, has turned his love for food into a way to give back. After a life-threatening heart condition led to a transplant in 2021, Prince’s passion for cooking never wavered. When Make-A-Wish asked if he wanted to help create a dish for a fundraiser, he jumped at the chance. Working with Chef Fernando Canales, Prince helped design a delicious crabcake sandwich with avocado and fries, now featured at the Floor 2 restaurant in Pittsburgh. 10% of the proceeds from the dish will support Make-A-Wish. Wise hopes that his journey will serve as an inspiring reminder of how resilience, creativity, and a little heart can make a big difference.
