Postman Adopts Dog on Mail Route

When postal worker Ian Burke used to deliver mail along his regular route, he formed a sweet bond with a friendly border collie mix named Pretty Boy Floyd. When Burke’s postal route changed, he missed being playfully greeted by his buddy Floyd everyday. Burke soon learned from a fellow mail carrier that Flyod’s elderly owner had passed away and the dog was surrendered to a local shelter. Without hesitation, Burke showed up to the shelter the next morning, even arriving early to ensure he was the first person in line to adopt Floyd. The pair had a heartwarming reunion, and Burke is proud to be giving his furry friend a loving second chapter.
