Retired Olympian Allyson Felix, who is the most decorated track and field athlete in history, is using her platform to advocate for mothers participating in the Olympic Games. Felix teamed up with Pampers to create the first ever nursery for athlete moms, which will be a safe space for mothers to nurse, play with their children, and decompress between competitions. Felix often felt unsupported as a professional athlete attempting to parent her two children amid big competitions like the Olympics. She wants athletes at the Paris Olympics to have easy access to nursery spaces, which is why the Pampers Nursery will be located directly in the Athlete Village Plaza. The Paris Olympics will be the first Olympic Games in over two decades that Felix won’t be competing in, but she’s excited to attend the events in a mentorship capacity this time around.
