Ukrainian violinist Vera Lytovchenko was hiding in a basement for weeks when the war with Russia began. To help cheer up her neighbors in such a dark time, Lytovchenko decided to do what she does best: play violin. Videos of Lytovchenko performing in bomb shelters and subway stations have gone viral, and she has been shocked by the amazing responses. Lytovchenko realized that her purpose during the war is to lift up the spirits of other Ukrainians through music. Check out one of her beautiful performances here.
