A five-year-old beagle mix named Bonnie had quite the adventure when she slipped out of her family’s home. A passerby named John Wilmer came across the lost pup while he was on the way to a dog show in West Sussex and posted that he found a missing dog on Facebook. Once at the show, Wilmer decided to enter Bonnie in the competition along with his own two dogs. Against all odds, Bonnie came in third place! Afterwards, he received a Facebook message from Bonnie’s family and returned the award-winner back to her home. Bonnie’s family was overjoyed that their dog was safely returned and couldn’t believe that their little rescue mutt secured a third place ribbon.
