Lemonade Stand for Wildfires

5-year-old Edison Juel’s family had recently returned from a vacation to Maui when the wildfire disaster struck, and Edison couldn’t believe that the island had suffered such destruction so quickly. The Seattle-based youngster decided to host a lemonade stand to raise money for the cause. He set up on a busy Seattle street and sold lemonade, ice cream, candy, and sparkling water to passersby, as well as setting up online donations via Venmo. Additionally, Edison’s parents both got their employers on board to match whatever Edison made from selling lemonade. In total, Edison raised $17,000 for the Maui Community Fund.
