First Transgender NFL Cheerleader

Pride Month is starting on a high note thanks to the news that the NFL has welcomed their first transgender cheerleader. Justine Lindsay, a Black transgender woman, will be seen cheering on the Carolina Panthers in the 2022 season. The 29-year-old was selected for the squad because of her incredible dance skills and she is thrilled to join the Panthers' “TopCats”. Black cheerleaders are unfortunately uncommon in the NFL, and Lindsay plans on rocking her signature bald look to inspire young Black girls who struggle with their hair. On her Instagram, Lindsay shared, “This is a moment I will never forget and I cannot wait to show you all what this girl has to bring.” Congratulations, Justine!
