Ballet For Seniors

The Oklahoma City Ballet has opened their doors to those with Parkinson’s disease in an effort to share the magic of dance with seniors. Instructors have created a tailored curriculum to meet the needs of dancers with Parkinson’s so that they can exercise safely. Beyond reaping the health benefits of ballet, seniors also improve social skills by forming friendships with one another. Whether seniors were dancers earlier in life or are taking their very first class, they are welcome at the Oklahoma City Ballet. Students say the ballet classes have improved their physical health, confidence, and more.
