Young Mountain Climber’s Big Dreams

An adventurous 6-year-old in England named Oscar Burrow decided that he wants to be the youngest person to climb Mount Everest. His father stepped in to help young Oscar create a more realistic plan given his age, and the duo has been climbing mountains all over Great Britain. They are halfway through their mission to climb 12 of the tallest mountains in Great Britain, which includes Blencathra, Helvellyn, and Ingleborough. The 12 mountains equate to the height of Everest. The father-son pair, which sometimes is joined by Oscar’s mom and little sister, has been raising money along the way for Derian House, which provides hospice care to children. Oscar set the goal of raising £8,849, the height of Mount Everest in meters.
