Three Generations Start College

19-year-old Samantha Malczewski just started her sophomore year at Carthage College and was excited to welcome her younger sister, Mia, to campus as a freshman. As it turns out, Samantha’s sister isn’t her only relative starting school at Carthage this fall. Samantha’s mother, Amy, and grandmother, Christy, both decided to enroll in a graduate program at Carthage College to pursue business and innovation. There are now three generations of the family studying at Carthage College— a first at the Wisconsin school. Samantha and Mia say that their mother and grandmother’s dedication to learning inspires them to never give up on their dreams, and they are looking forward to running into each other on campus.
