The Florida-based animal rescue group Big Dog Ranch Rescue was saddened to hear about the animals who are being abandoned in the midst of the war in Ukraine. Big Dog Ranch Rescue employees packed their bags and headed to Eastern Europe to rescue the abandoned dogs and either reunite them with their original owners or find them new forever homes. Many families in Ukraine don’t have the means to escape the country with a pet, but still care deeply about their dog and want to be reunited with them. Big Dog Ranch Rescue is working out of a shelter in Poland to bring these displaced pups to safety. They’ve come across thousands of abandoned dogs so far and plan on staying put in Europe for the next several months to assist as many dogs as possible.
