Paris’ Giant Picnic

Paris’ infamous street Champs-Élysées will be transformed into a giant picnic for a lucky 4,000 people who win a ticket to participate. The cars on the road will be replaced with giant checkered blankets, picnic baskets, and vendor pop-ups. Each attendee will be gifted with a basket full of goodies from some of Paris’ most notable restaurants and bakeries. To secure a space in the picnic, individuals and families of up to six people can apply for tickets on the Paris City Hall website. There are no requirements to apply— Parisians and tourists of all ages are welcome to join the picnic. The winners will be drawn at random before the event occurs on May 26th. This is the first food-based event hosted at the Champs-Élysées, and it may be awarded a Guinness World Record for largest picnic.
