The NFL’s “My Cause My Cleats” program, now in its 10th season, gives players a powerful way to spotlight the causes they care about most. During Weeks 12 and 13, more than 1,800 players, coaches, staff, and on-air talent take the field in custom-designed cleats representing nonprofits and issues ranging from cancer research and mental-health support to youth empowerment, veterans’ services, and social justice. After the games, many of the cleats are auctioned off, with all proceeds going directly to the charities the players chose. The initiative has become a meaningful tradition in the league, transforming visible moments on the field into opportunities for advocacy, fundraising, and community impact. It’s a reminder that athletes can use their platform for far more than sport — turning something as simple as a pair of cleats into support, awareness, and real change for causes close to their hearts.
