Moon Dust Booklet For Sale

A booklet that was used by astronaut Gene Cernan on the Apollo 17 million to the moon is being sold at the RR Auction with a starting price of $500,000. Cernan wore the booklet on the sleeve of his spacesuit, and the pages were exposed to lunar dust for 7 hours and 12 minutes. The Apollo 17 million, which took place in December 1972, was the most recent time that humans were on the moon. The booklet, which is streaked with lunar dust on its 25 pages, contains a guide for the mission, maps, a list of tasks, and more. The auction item also includes a replica of the glove Cernan wore on the mission that the booklet was attached to. The RR Auction Space Exploration and Aviation sale will conclude on April 20th.
