Can you explain your mission?

Kiss the Ground is a leading nonprofit championing regeneration and healthy soil as a solution for human and planetary health. Through storytelling, education, and partnerships, we inspire participation in the regenerative movement. We are an audience-supported nonprofit working alongside farmers, partners, and everyday people.

What does your storytelling program entail?

Our storytelling efforts reach 20 million people annually through daily content, mini-docs, and films. We create, produce, and distribute our own content that introduces people to regenerative farming. Our award-winning series, “Stories of Regeneration”, follows regenerative agriculture leaders who are making a lasting impact, showing the powerful role that healthy soil plays in healing our planet and communities. We know there isn’t always time to watch a feature-length or even a ten-minute film, so our “5 with a Farmer” series features quick, heartfelt chats with the people who not only feed us, but work year-round to protect human and planetary health.

What educational resources do you provide?

Over 100K people learn from us each month through free purchasing guides and resources. Regenerative Agriculture Essentials is a 90-minute introduction course designed for individuals and teams eager to get involved in regeneration. We also offer Soil Advocate Training, Advanced Regenerative Gardening, and more. There are scholarships available for those who can’t afford to purchase the educational guides as we aim to promote equal opportunity to quality education for communities that have been both traditionally and currently underserved.

How do you support farmers?

Our research indicates that 75% of us want to buy food that improves our health, and that comes from regenerative farming. We support local, small farms and have a map on our website where you can find regenerative farmers across the country. We have an annual $500K grant that is directly awarded to 215 small farms. Last year, the funds went to small farms to cover the cost of equipment, supplies, and on-the-ground education, leading to the regenerative transition of 73K acres.
